Stephen J. Conklin, 58, of Moravia, NY passed away at home unexpectedly on February 11th, 2024.
Surviving Steve are his wife of 20 years Susan Conklin; his children Christopher and Elizabeth Conklin; his brother-John (Julie) Conklin: nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews, and one great great nephew.
Steve was a resident of Moravia all his life and loved his community and the people in it. He graduated from Moravia Central School with the class of 1984. He furthered his education at Cayuga Community College where he studied computer programming, graduating with an Associates Degree. Steve also worked as an employee at UPSCO from high-school until 2008 when he started working as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. He briefly worked at Granny’s Gas station.
Steve was an avid bowler. He bowled in many of the leagues around the area, as well as being featured on the Auburn Bowling Association. He always had stories about Bowling and all the great people he met through it. He has many rings and plaques showing his accomplishments.
John Deere tractors were his passion. For most of his life, you would find Steve in the garage listening to music, restoring tractors. Steve also loved NASCAR, Sci-Fi and Marvin the Martian.
Steve now joins in heaven his parents Bernie and Grace Conklin, his sister Beverly Grobelny, and many other loved ones who passed on before him.
